Making Prayer Time

The spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but (the) spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. Romans 8:26 (NRSV)

How is your prayer life? Can you talk to God as well or even better than your own Father or Mother?

Do we remember to count our blessings and Thank God for them?

Is our prayer time what it should be? Sometimes being weary and drowsy we drift off to sleep sooner than we wanted to, does God understand? Of course he does, even more than an earthly parent would and if the closing words were unspoken God knows what's in our hearts!

Perhaps many of us spend time (much time) praying for our own. Do we include our church, our pastor and congregation? What about the young people in the community who face so many temptations? (many of whom are unsaved, unchurched-Some have no encouragement at home-what can Christian people do about this?

What about the unsaved in our community? As Christians are we praying enough and speaking a word to them when God leads us?

Let's make more prayer time, beginning now!

Prayer: Our Father help us to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to you-make us a blessing to someone. Amen.
